NESA Robotics is excited to announce that UVD Robots alongside Blue Ocean Robotics are the winners of the Health category at the SDG Tech Awards 2020. Run by Sustainary, the SDG Tech Awards highlight the best sustainability solutions in Denmark across a variety of categories including health, education, agriculture and more. The Health category award is given to companies that have contributed towards sustainable development of communities by improving their health.

The UVD Robots can kill 99.9999% of viruses and bacteria on the surfaces and in the air and can be used to disinfect large areas killing Covid-19 in a matter of minutes. With NESA Robotics, Heathrow Airport and St Pancras International are protecting their staff and passengers from Covid-19 with a UVD Robot.

The robots use environmentally-friendly UV-C light and are significantly greener than chemical based solutions. The speed of disinfection is also a fraction of the time that chemical and manual disinfections take, allowing for more frequent disinfection.

“We are so happy to have Blue Ocean Robotics with UVD Robots as the winners of the “Health” award. Their autonomous disinfection robot is extremely relevant in today’s climate with Covid-19, and their high score from our diverse panel of international judges was a clear win,” – Sophia Christou, Project Manager at Sustainary.

“NESA Robotics are proud to see UVD Robots recognised by the SDG Tech Awards for not only their disinfection ability but also the sustainable and environmental impact especially at a time where we need these types of solutions more than ever” – Heath Williams, CEO at NESA Robotics.

Since collaborating with UVD Robots, we have introduced the technology to a number of other commercial businesses including hotels, offices, football stadiums and warehouses to ensure optimum safety for both staff and visitors.
