Heathrow Airport has achieved a 4-Star COVID-19 Airport Safety Rating by Skytrax.
Skytrax is the international air transport rating organisation. The World Airline and Airport Star Rating classifies airlines and sports by quality of product and staff service standards.
Skytrax’s COVID-19 Safety Rating looks at an airport’s facilities and services to determine how the airport is protecting their staff and passengers, and if the procedures put in place are effective and consistently used. Areas in which they are assessed include making sure staff are in correct PPE, hand sanitiser facilities, disinfection protocols and control of social distancing.
With NESA Robotics, Heathrow Airport deployed UVD Robots as part of their heightened cleaning protocols. The UVD Robot kills 99.9999% of all bacteria and viruses on surfaces and in the air, including hard to reach areas.
This was one of the implementations that has led to Heathrow achieving this rating.
