NESA Robotics is proud to announce that UVD Robots and Blue Ocean Robotics are the winners of the Emerging Technology Awards 2020.

The awards are run by Mechanical Engineering, the magazine from The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the awards consider the recent innovations in five core engineering fields – clean energy, bio-engineering, pressure technology, advanced manufacturing and robotics.

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers is a non-profit organisation that helps enable collaboration, knowledge sharing and skill development across the engineering industry, and promotes the vital role that engineers play in society.

“The COVID-19 pandemic derailed the best-laid plans. And yet, the response from the engineering community has been remarkable. The editors of Mechanical Engineering magazine spotlight these technologists as all of us at ASME celebrate engineers everywhere who have applied their heads and their hearts to meet real human needs this year.” says ASME Executive Director/CEO Tom Costabile.

UVD Robots are deployed in hospitals and businesses in more than 40 countries to help combat the spread of Covid-19. With NESA Robotics, UVD Robots are well-trusted in the healthcare sector, where they are being used to kill hospital acquired infections in operating theatres, wards and patient rooms, and are now being deployed in the fight against Covid-19 in transport hubs including Heathrow Airport and St Pancras International, hotels, offices and car showrooms including HWM Aston Martin.

NESA Robotics is also working with local schools to help protect staff and pupils.

Thank you to ASME for recognising UVD Robots as part of the Emerging Technology Awards 2020.
